I think what this story needs, is to go one step ahead from "sharing his pitiful and depressing isekai stories", and actually let the uncle leave the apartment and show how his protagonist-powers are at work. At least this way, maybe they'll finally leave the apartment, and do something else other than react to old stories, with jokes re-hashed.
