That looks less like a fang and more like a tumor, or burn victim lip on some panels. I'm all for artists trying to adopt a unique style, but sometimes something just doesn't work to the point the idea should have been scrapped at the very first stage of character design, where the mangaka was presumably just idly sketching ideas. Kind of a travesty that it got past the editor and got published.
