Could be the mysterious lab guy that sent that curse and former Sage during the school arc, guess he didn't die with the rest of the Lab.

Yuuji's part of a prophecy to vanquish 3 world ending dragons: blue, red, and black. He dealt with the first 2 forever ago; the 2nd dragon was back around the 20s[chapters].
Almost 70 chapters later, and no black dragon. Author probably realized too late that they front loaded the story; once the black dragon is introduced, this story will near its finale... unless there's a spinoff.
