Yeah extremely unlikely their bows had the strongest draw weight. The targets they had to hit weren't nearly as heavily armored as the Chinese nor the Europeans. So high draw weight was unnecessary

They were the longest at least. But recordkeeping for japanese bow draw strength isnt as strong as with other regions so they likely are relying on "plausible deniability." I spent a little time researching cause I got curious. Its possible, I guess, but unlikely. So, I'm inclined to say its likely a tad jingoistic but hard to prove.
