Ah yes i remember this even it is just 2 months ago. glad about that he decided to leave home before he was being misused for getting them eggs.. instead for them having hen or something.
also glad he got these two to find good and safe food items.. so many dangerous plants that can outright kill you if you eat them.

also this manga feels like a side project of the creator's because of the spotty updates. are they working on a larger project?

Problem with that second part is that what's safe for a cockatrice may not be safe for a human, for example the centipede from the previous part.

I find that with a lot of manga lately, sparce update and .1 .2 chapters.
For me one of my favourite 100 girlfriends rarely gets a new chapter, despite how popular it is, mostly just one page spread.

It feels like the family were trying to protect him rather than take advantage of him, the whole leaving him with 0 parental supervision, feels like leaving door or gate unlocked
