I would genuinely love it if we got updates on Rosa moving forward. She’s seen her mother s true nature, seems to regret her decisions, and definitely lost a lot of her arrogance
as always, let me know if you spot any typos

She's either rebellious and impulsive, or is actually mature for her age being disillusioned with her mother, which wouldn't be too strange witnessing some horrible scenes. While it is completely understandable (and expected) for Rosa to be shocked that her mother lied to her all this time, her suddenly turning on her mother and admitting everything is just to convenient and unrealistic for me. Even if she was lied to by her mother, this does not change the fact that Rosa was still a really horrible person that at the very least contributed to the torture of an innocent and helpless little girl. Rosa was a selfish narcissist that enjoyed the suffering that was inflicted on Aria. For her to suddenly turn and help investigators looking for Aria is just too much a change, given the short amount of time since she was arrested.
The problem is that we can only go by what is shown in the manga, so far. And what we have been shown is that all that has been done to them is being dressed in criminal clothing, being individually locked up in their own separate jail cells, and eating bad food. Is that really enough to count as "horrible scenes" that can change a little girl's personality after a short time? She's either rebellious and impulsive, or is actually mature for her age being disillusioned with her mother, which wouldn't be too strange witnessing some horrible scenes.
I think the setup is far more plausible than other mangas. A few chapters isn't really enough to establish her personality nor how she truly felt about things. As for enjoying suffering, children can be cruel, especially when they feel justified. Plenty of kids are bullies in school and some at least realise it wasn't right and grow out of it. She was living with the Erandal from 5 to 10 so it's not surprising she took everything her mother said at face value, and I doubt that her mother shared that she wanted Aria dead.I think this is a cop-out.

I may not know about how she truly felt about other things, but the previous chapters showed her being a vain, sadistic, narcissist that really did enjoy making Aria suffer. And children do not need justification to be cruel to others. Plenty of children are just plain evil, just because they can. Sure, some do grow out of it, when they get older. But looking for reasons to justify being a piece of shit is something children do not think of.I think the setup is far more plausible than other mangas. She has also been speaking with the investigators without being in the presence of her mother so she's finally talked to reasonable adults who made her understand that Aria's treatment wasn't right. So I don't think it's that farfetched that upon hearing that there wasn't even any justification, revenge for her own suffering as a small child, she finally broke and revealed to the investigators things she had kept secret until then to protect her mother.
Is snitching on her mother a change of character? Or is it a change of target?I may not know about how she truly felt about other things, but the previous chapters showed her being a vain, sadistic, narcissist that really did enjoy making Aria suffer. Rosa was on a power trip. Her mother giving her the opportunity to bully someone does not change the fact that Rosa really did enjoy making someone's life a living hell for years. Which is why the sudden abrupt change in character is just too jarring.
O . o?The problem is that we can only go by what is shown in the manga, so far. And what we have been shown is that all that has been done to them is being dressed in criminal clothing, being individually locked up in their own separate jail cells, and eating bad food. Why would Rosa change her target to her mother? From what we've seen here, Rosa was spoiled rotten by her mother and Rosa loved her mother for it. Suddenly having a change of heart and deciding to be a good person, is out of character, given what we've previously seen from her.Is snitching on her mother a change of character? Or is it a change of target?
We have different criminal codes for minors because children are impressionable. It's very easy to goad them into acts of cruelty, because they have a limited worldview and an underdeveloped brain/sense of morality. In Rosa's case, she was told by her mother that Aria and Alanna were bad, and that it was good to punish them. She dove into it enthusiastically (that's bad) but given time, she might (she might not) realize that what she did to Aria was terrible. We readers don't know yet.
But what I can infer is that once she learned that her Mother was the one spurring her to all these criminal acts, the same logic she used to hurt Aria can be applied to hurting her Mother. Especially since Rosa hasn't had time to truly reflect, gain experience, and maybe feel some empathy. It's too soon to say she's going to be reformed, or if she's one of the humans who never stop being cruel little pukes. We won't know until she's an adult and chooses whether or not to inflict cruelty on others.
In the meantime, sending her to an orphanage seems like a fitting outcome.
It would turn her meek, but it would not change her entire personality overnight. Rosa is a vain, sadistic, narcissist, and has been this way for at least 5 years. You do not have a complete personality change from one short stay in a prison cell where you do not even have to interact with the other prisoners.O . o?
Yes, yes it is. That little girl would be scared shitless. She has known true poverty. She was allowed the control and authority of a noble.
Then after returning from a celebration, discovering everything in her new home disappearing, including everything in her room. That not being horrifying enough, some men in noble attire and armor arrest her perents, the staff, and herself. Terrified would be the only way I could describe the emotional state of a child in such a situation.
Then when the people who have the authority and power to lock up your perents has you standing out of sight as they question one of them. Damn straight the child would be emotionally distraught, confused to learn that said perent lied, and placed them in a position where they could loose everything, including the child's own freedom.
Not such how old you are, or what kind of background you might have, but my opinion comes from being old enought my grandkids are becoming teenagers. That not being enought, witnessing extended family members self destructing and having to extract their kids from the travesty that is our modern day fostercare system...It would turn her meek, but it would not change her entire personality overnight.
