@Kisato I don't think those are made for wizards, only witches.
While it is a pleasurable experience for a witch, it would be a quite painful for a wizard after all.
I don't believe it is even a necessary artifact. Just used so they have something to do during the ride.

magic staves 101, the better your "bond" with your magic catalyst, the better it works for you...the better the materials used in the crafting of your catalyst, the better it works overall and the more magic can pass through it at once without overloading it...if you overload a catalyst too often or far at once it will be destroyed
when you have literal god tier powers and want to hide that fact, this can be a problem without any easy solution
