That's a lake, not running water. It can flow, but that tends to be rather slow, especially close to the shore.

So far, everything is free. No effort, no real choices, no tension, just convenient stuff happening. It's like Medieval heaven.

That's a good point, I won't remember the name but I read a manga where the guy had the ability to control materials (wood, metals, rubbery, etc) and wanted to make a robot or a car something like that, but he didn't know how a car/robot was actually built, so he made a "carcass" but his creation was totally useless, the same thing when he wanted a huge house but didn't know anything about architecture and the structure fell

I was talking about the bucket, which also seems to have a metal rim. Though that's from next chapter.

Hmmm during that downtime he doesn’t think of his family and how they are doing. You would think he would even more if he was the main breadwinner taking care of the family but he doesn’t. This makes me question why even let him have a family and not be an only child orphan if you won’t let him harp on his family.

Have him ask the gods about how his surviving family are doing, ask the gods to let him see his family from time to time (to check on them), be unique& ask the gods to bring his family over to this world too when they die ?
