Nah, you can be a diehard supporter without being in on the dirty little secrets. Some people are just easily drawn to that kind of charisma and will ignore facts slapping them in the face. Others can fall into a false sense of entrapment- they've been following him so long that they feel they don't have a choice but to stay the course. Human psychology is complex.

I initially had a poor reaction to the likely/possible lack of punishment for Reito-trash, but it is a perfect dilemma for him; Reito has lots of choices at this moment, but none of them involve keeping a coherent group behind him, or having a power-base.

My prediction is

that all of the dirty laundry will get aired, everybody will learn that he committed murder multiple times, and he will produce his handgun.
We will almost certainly have a cliffhanger where he is pointing his gun, and we have a panel of "BANG," and the next chapter will have the girl shoot him with his "brother's" pistol, and then she will cry about it... but I don't recall who has the gun, so I dunno if it'll be the gyaru or the nadeshiko.

But that's all just a guess from having read a Lotta-lotta manga.

You're not wrong at all, but if I may use a recent example to illustrate why this being true is a "bad thing;" we are not "supposed to" cheer for Michael Gandolfini's character in Daredevil Reborn; it's a cautionary tale, not an excuse to ignore shit.

And, while we arent likely to forget it, cheering for "the bad guy" is still an entirely valid reason to vent some dome.
