Honestly, It was between 'farewell' and 'see you later' and I wanted to believe they would get to see each other someday

Personally I like farewell better in a way, as there’s nothing saying they’ll even see each other again, and it gives a nice bitter feeling seeing Butagigas leave

But then the whole series is as it is so having it more lighthearted probably fits it better.
