Dude is stuck on the island with a Nymphomaniac Yandere Monster. The "Dolphin Meat" is flesh from the corpse of one of the other four people, who she killed in the thicket. There was originally 5 survivors aka 5 men, she killed them and hid the bodies there. That's why she told the others it was too dangerous to look past the thicket.

I meant monster as in actual monster, like the island is her nest and she entertains herself with the people that get stranded there. She might even be the thorny vines that the people disappear into, ala "The Ruins" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Ruins_(film).

Also here's my interpretation. She's short while the 5 survivors show 5 tall figures and she prevented others from escaping by hindering boat sportings. She's probably a monster from the island in human form.

People are taking this too literally. The island is not real, no one was murdered. As the author themselves said, it’s an allegory for adult life (and relationships).

2. Fukuyama (the 1st/2nd missing person)
3. Sasaki (the 3rd missing person)
4. Inoue (the 4th missing person)
5. Sugihara (the main character)

i don't know who is the girl, but for sure, this manga didn't make my thingy hard, instead make me think hard.

She is, the male character she's been fucking throughout the whole thing is her toy. That's why she fed him "Dolphin Meat" aka flesh from the other now-dead-men to him to keep him alive. And she's been discouraging him to try and signal any ships for rescue. because 1) they would come and take her toy away, and 2) they might discover her true self (vines) and try to destroy her or the entire island.

I glossed over it the first time I read it, but it looks like the other 4 men raped her at different times, but she's offering herself to the last guy willingly so she wants him to stay with her.

But for me she is not efficient enough. If she want to keep him the longest time possible, she should have let him learn the most useful things from the other before killing them.
Because at least for the last one, she killed him on a different day/night when he had played with her body, they were killed when the went to the thicket.

I think this might be a Calypso situation. The girl is some kind of supernatural being native to the island who is capable of manipulating their memories so as to never question her presence or her suggestions, such as keeping quiet about seeing boats. Her goal is to keep them on the island, either for food or for pleasure, and she slowly killed off the people who treated her poorly.

When the MC nearly died, he remained some of his memories. He probably realized the truth about the girl at the end but is powerless to do anything about it.
