You're right that it allowed them all to handle it maturely.Well, I didn’t expect any infighting, especially since none of the four girls are in a relationship with Hiromi. If they had started arguing after showing up separately at the Inn, it would have felt like a slap in the face to how close they are.
That’s why things turned mature so quickly once Anju admitted she came to see Hiromi. Even though Lili didn’t tell the truth, Anju’s honesty broke the ice and eased the pressure for the rest of the girls. We already know they all have feelings for him, and seeing it handled in a mature way showed how close they are.
What really stood out was Mine talking to Nonoka in front of everyone. It was a clever way for the writer to bring up what happened between her and Hiromi without forcing a long confession, which might still come later.
It also made the girls face the possibility that Hiromi could move on with his life in Wakayama and might not return to Tokyo. That conversation forced them to have a mature discussion, showing their mutual bond and making the chapter play out pretty smooth.
I'm just resolved in knowing that my personal wishes that he not return to Tokyo will never be realized and hope to see more drama and fires being set, though I'm cognizant that won't happen, either.
Purely my own petty desire for trash fire storytelling interfering with actually analyzing the chapter being presented.
