Great, Hiromi is about to ruin another relationship. Why? Because he still can’t get over Lili. He spent most of this date thinking about her instead of focusing on Nonoka or the date itself. Jumping into a relationship right now feels like a slap in the face to all the development he’s had since coming to Wakayama. It’s like his conversation with Yakuri never even happened.

Yet here he is, getting ready to start something with Nonoka without being fully invested in her as a person. I just don’t see this relationship lasting. It’s not going to end well. Maybe if the writer intended for him to stay in Wakayama, it could have worked, but that’s clearly not the case since we know he’ll eventually go back to Tokyo. So why have him try to start a relationship now?

Between the previous chapter and this one, there are still a lot of unanswered questions. And while I’m not a fan of him reminiscing about Lili, I can understand it to some extent. She was the person he was just in a relationship with, and he saw her not too long ago, so it’s natural he’d still feel something. But using that as motivation to jump into a relationship with Nonoka makes no sense, especially after all the growth we’ve seen from him in the last few chapters.

But It is what it is. I just see this as a quick crash and burn because the MC is once again being set up to not learn from his mistakes. That’s just my opinion.
I’m also frustrated because he was actually being smart and holding back from accepting the date but then got railroaded into it by the innkeeper.

He just keeps getting swept along instead of being the one to choose his own path... to me it shows just how low his sense of self worth really is.

Also, ugh, I HATE Lili. She’s literal poison. I would have been much happier if he was distracted on the date thinking about the sudden confession from his other housemate.

Once again, Hiromi makes a convenient choice without thinking things through. I do think he was pressured into it by his innkeeper friend. It's also on him to resist that pressure. He's not in a good place for this to go anywhere pleasant- still getting over an ex, who he still lives with, in a city an hour away from the new hot thing. Ok the segs will be pleasant, but not the guilt and the break up.

For goodness sake will one of these people learn something?! Think of the househarem!

Jesus man, he is gonna rush it to think he needs to cement his feelings and being over Lili, which will only hurt both of them long run as it wasn't founded in true WANT.

sasusa always cooks at the highest degrees. Domekano was peak manga and only Ruitards would disagree.
I get the impression that Sasuga's stories are best when a reader doesn't get attached to a particular character and knows to simply enjoy the messy, drama process and not get invested on a personal level.

Speaking personally, this title is more enjoyable if I just read it from a detached state of mind and focus on the dynamics of each relationship from an analytical standpoint and what they say about real life relationships, and don't think too hard about how dumb some of the actions some of the characters are taking, or take them seriously.

This chapter was really frustrating. As much as I wanted him to end up with Nonoka, it’s obvious that the MC would never end up with someone outside the main heroines. It’s just going to be another annoying drama that will take several chapters to resolve. I’ll still keep following this manga, but it’s already hanging by a thread whether I’ll drop it.

That's why Sasuga is framing the whole thing as negative. We know next chapter he's gonna have sex w/ Nonoka in that fairytale castle love hotel and make the childish and kinda petty decision of not returning to Tokyo. From what i could understand from those vietnamese scans, Lili ends being the most affected by his decision given she ended up venting in front of Hodoka and crying like a poor lil' girl who was ditched by her parents.

And if you thought Hiromi would reconsider his actions... ch53 shows that he decided to make official his relationship with Nonoka
. Dude's too broken to ever think about facing his own feelings and incompetence vs other well established Tokyo men and instead chose to run away forward. At this point, he doesn't need gfs, he needs therapy, some self rediscovery and only after that, come to terms with his "kusare'en" (rotten bond) with Lili and the fact Finland-chan is the most suitable for someone emotionally still green like him.

And Nonoka's not free of guilt. Iirc, she was also running away from an abusive relationship, same as Yukari.

so the whole date he couldn't get Lili out of his mind and then he goes for a very passionate french kiss like that? Excuse me, what???? Like, if that's what you gonna do at the end, don't let ANY of his thoughts show and call it a day. At least the reader can speculate what's going on instead of wondering what the fuck went wrong there.

And okay, I get it it's probably just him forcing it on himself to go out with her, but it breaks consistency as a STORY.

If what you say is true then I’m at least happy that
Lili is going to break down and cry. It’s about time she felt some of the pain she’s caused to Hiromi. She’s the architect of her own misery and it’s overdue for her to realize that..

That said, Hiromi needs therapy… well at the very least he needs a friend who actually understands him and knows what happened to him in the past. It’s sad he has nobody to confide in. The innkeeper looked like she might have filled that spot at first but now I think she just likes to meddle.

I feel like I want to start rooting for the proprietress after seeing that first page. Yukari is still best girl though.

Sasuga never cooks. It's all premade industrialized shit with bland taste. She is so predictable that, as you can see, absolutely no one is excited about the current plot (or the plots that will follow) and everyone is waiting for the inevitable retardation the MC will display.
She is a mexican telenovela writer who got isekai'd into Japan and reincarnated as a Mangaka

Fuck this shit. This is Sasuga's payback for everyone who talked shit to her about the ending of Domestic Girlfriend. Everyone one of the heroines is going to fuck some dude to get over their heartbreak. In the end MC will only have used goods to pick from.
her reaction to the domekano outrage and how she handled the manga was totally justified and hilarious at the same time seeing how some deranged motherfuckers on twitter threatened to kill her if she ended the manga with the "wrong" heroine. so he just knocked up one and married the other :ROFLMAO:

Someone dumped the ch. 53 raws in /a/.

Hiromi is going back to Tokyo... and is bringing Nonoka with him. Dude even has the audacity to tell the sharemates about that. Anju took Hiromi's new commitment like shit and shut herself in her room. Now the real misery porn will begin. Anju has the handicap of being a "frosty fruit" and that is a huge blow to her self esteem

They are adults, almost all of them were used goods since the start, including the MC (He is not a saint either). Also, he is only one, he can't pick everyone.

In my case I hate when characters (or people) can't get over a first love, it's sad AF, everyone deserves their happy end. Ending up alone without being able to get over someone is awful.
