What? Nobles who don't care about blood lines? That's surprising. Usually, only blood related (even if distant) can inherit the title. In this case, if he isn't blood related it would by default go to the daughter. Unless, they are soooo patriarchal that females can't inherit titles no matter what, and that a non-blood related adopted male child is okay.
