Reflecting, as I turn the pages, about how determined she seemed to die on the hill of self-sacrifice, and about how risky a tactic it is to guilt someone into what you think they want, when BAM: SWEETS, signalling the end of the chapter.
I wonder if she saw, in some corner of her heart unacknowledged, a noble self-sacrifice as a way out of acting and back to him...

Clearly the manager deserves much of the blame, but it was also revealed in the last couple chapters the actress was partially complicit and yet is now supposed to be the victim? I hate the faux noble self hating victim play and I feel it's really doing a disservice to the series.

Ngl the author really bad at making this plot
I think she just wanted to make a sweets manga but the editor told her to make some romance drama plot story and it didnt end well
The sweets moment always very details yet the moment we touch the "story plot" it's bland and confusing all these "conflict" can be solved in chp 1 and nothing change

The story beats just aren't hitting for me. The romance feels weak, we don't get to see the Momoka's point of view aside from her being upset because "he let her go easily" (even though the one thing she likes about Akari is that he supported her) and her theatre troupe times. Her characterization as a whole is weak too so it's hard to see the nuances. The drama is bland and unnecessary, because of that this whole expose plot twist doesn't hit very hard. They had already decided to divorce and both were coming to terms with it, it just feels cheap to remove the "obstacle" without any meaningful change. I would've preferred them to either separate and be happy in their respective careers, maybe become friends in the future or one of them to reject these conditions (preferably Momoka, I think her resolving to be successful without accepting this policy would be pretty badass) and go back together despite everything. I hope at the very least that Momoka's press conference is interesting.
