Her face is getting..what do you call it, skinnier? I'm not sure if we're ending this story with part 3, or simply just nodding to the obvious hints from her grandma and Sou's parents expressions.
Yup realize too...i hope it won't become like that 😞

She's obviously on palliatives, moved to the seaside, a private room with views, so she doesn't spend the last of her time in a hospital ward, then a few months later she's emaciated and moved to be close to her family, obviously not much time left.

I still hope for a recovery, this is still a Manga so.....

Mokeka previously appeared in the series – it's definitely a reference to Pokémon, and was very explicitely one in the previous usage of it!

That said, the King part is definitely a reference to Yugi-Oh! – the Oh! part meaning King; the card design also takes some elements from Yugi-Oh! / Duel Monsters cards just as it does also with Pokémon cards.

This was a "very special episode"-type double chapter which reminded me of the second Gabriel DropOut OVA which was also a "very special episode" with a sick child.

Unfortunately for Rei, Sou and Nozomu aren't literal angels (or nice devils) with supernatural healing powers.
