  1. No Blood Relation:
    • Japanese law prohibits marriage between close blood relatives, such as siblings, parents, and children. However, step-siblings are not biologically related, so this restriction does not apply.
  2. No Legal Adoption Connection:
    • If one step-sibling has been legally adopted by the other’s parent, they may be considered legally as part of the same family. This can create legal complications for marriage.
    • If no legal adoption has occurred, there are generally no restrictions preventing marriage.
  3. Cultural and Social Considerations:
    • While it is legally permissible, marriage between step-siblings might face social or familial disapproval depending on individual circumstances and cultural attitudes.
  4. Parental Consent (If Under 20):
    • In Japan, individuals under 20 years old need parental consent to marry. This may become an issue if parents oppose the union.

Everyone is complaining about the sis con and usually that's annoying but IDK this time it's not that bad. Yeah she's being a bitch but not in a way that infuriates me.

Idk maybe it's because I've seen WAY worse siscons that physically abused the MC and always get away with it while stalling any romantic progression for no reason. This girl is just annoying and stupid while also clearly being somewhat into the MC.

She literally is physically abusing him pulling on his ear and cheek. In case you don't know that hurts and pretty bad, there's a lot of nerves in those areas. It's also always played off in the majority of manga and anime as harmless or "cute", but I just find it annoying, like verbal abuse too.

It's interesting how the age of majority was dropped from 20 to 18 in 2022 but two 19 year olds still need parental consent to marry.
