Hmm slightly confused, though maybe I just missed smth.

The MC is disguising herself because she is going to the military school which was supposed to be a boiys school, since only boys are in the military. And she has to go there to be eligible for inheritance. But now there are at least two girls in that school, so shouldn't she be able to inherit as a girl as well, since you can go to the military as a girls?

@Zajaer I assume you haven't read the novel, so I'm not going to drop any bombs. the comic kind of glosses over a few world-building details but basically the country she's living in, the Federation is in a constant warring period with their greatest enemy. "great families" all have ties to the military because it's a military-oriented country, and so, most of the population strive to serve their nation.
primary school is really just primary school, so it's coed
the federation aren't misogynistic, they aren't picky with their soldiers. it's just harder for women to achieve military merits because their physically weaker

like softer bodies that wouldn't be able to handle the stress of controlling mechas. it's a lost investment because mecha warriors are the greatest asset interstellar nations can have

BUT many still play a part in the military. the main reason why Lin Lang continues to be a man is because of this societal conception that a women will never be greater than a man, so it's also to compete with the branch family - who has a boy candidate. this is like the typical patriarchy Chinese style, BUT Lin Lang is an exception to a lot of things.
ALSO her inheritance is sort of like a scholarship with the condition of going to specific trade for resources. the Federation is investing into Lin Lang as a "boy" because she might attain the same heights as her father

@Zajaer its not an only boy school. She has to hide her gender so she could rightfully inherit her dads property. She also has to hide it bc her physical grade in SS which is impossible for females in this world which can lead to unwanted attention.


Also, I expected the Lou siblings to be much prettier. They were supposed to be BEAUTIFUL identical twins that even Lou lang was mistaken for a girl..... Kinda disappointed bc that fact starts some important arcs and problems.

also... to talk about the story/art. I can't help but laugh, I really wonder what the wild cat is going to look like in the future. everyone is already sooo pretty, but they're also dressed like their going through a chunni period. are those bandages on Qi Long?
I mean, Han JiJun has such large earrings. blonde is a little unexpected, cause I considered all of them being typical asians (brown hair) but the cast is sooo large so this is fine too. the Lu twins look like nuclear family, space children.

they really took liberties with everyone's appearances... luo lang did NOT look as pretty as i thought he would, kinda weirded out by han jijyun's name not having the y, and isn't han xuya supposed to be plumper? SIGH. but the dialogue and plot direction looks pretty faithful, at least.

@Ti0 i think the level of prettiness stayed the same, but when everyone shed the generic childhood cuteness and his features didn't develop into more a masculine type of beauty, ppl started Noticing how girlishly pretty luo lang was and that led to... Trouble lmao.

tbh i think either luo chao's hair should be shorter or luo lang's hair should be longer. and they should wear similar if not the same outfits. they're supposed to look IDENTICAL for the most part.

Dialogue wise it is similar to the novel, but character design is off from novel..
