Maybe it's just because I've read other bullying revenge stories before, but I genuinely interpreted this series as MC making her dependent on him, then offing himself to maximize her despair. I read the chapter today as a self-inflicted injury. "Something interrupted my vengeance" could mean he attempted to end his own life the day prior, but was interrupted resulting in only an injury.

Another angle could be his vengance was to befriend her then kill himself but something interrupted his suicide. Like if his own friend killed themselves due to her bullying and he wants her to feel what he felt... but seems a little darker than I think this author goes for. In that case the two students in the previous chapter might've saved him instead.

Either she decides to keep her distance to not get him mixed up, takes care of him similar to how he was doing for her, or she'll somehow grow a backbone to do something back to the ones who did this cause they didn't keep to messing with her. Either way after this development, I'm guessing she's gonna start showing she truly is considerate now, and he'll start mellowing out towards her.
