1 day after I released vol 3, the publisher shadowdropped the English official with simulpub and all the so far published chapters. So yeah, this manga has been licensed with the title as seen in md's title.
Catch is, as of this date, ch1-7 is available free to read and the rest are paylocked (and that's normal). But their reading app is region locked to certain western countries(the big ones) so sayonara to other region readers.

Originally, I was going to do 1 more chapter and put a dropping announcement since it's being licensed and all, but they did not release loose raw chapters at any other sellers other than the publisher's jp app since vol 3, (which is also region locked to Japan), and before I knew it, they announced volume 4 for presale already.

I also just clicked buy without thinking about it as soon as it went on sale on my feed, then saw how expensive it was compared to usual only to then realize that this is a special digital edition with extras and stuff. The normal edition with only base chapters was only put on the sale notification on the next day I checked. Sneaky marketing, I would have bought the special volume eitherway though.
This special edition is 50% more expensive. Thank you to the person who sponsored this volume. The donation was very much needed to cover this volume.

I said I was going to drop this, but I'm still indecisive. I might continue just because. We'll see. vol 5 isn't due out until the latter half of the year, anyway.
Also releasing the whole vol instead of measured releases because since it's being simulpubbed, there's no point in rationing it.

I had a look at the available official chapters shortly after last release and the translations are uncomfortably similar. So for the record of any future passing mods and disclaimer, I released vol 3 1 day earlier than them and had started on this manga much earlier so there's no possible way I could copy their translation and I have not seen anything past ch7 English since then, so any similarities are 100% a coincidence on my part.

tldr scanlation update from my last post
Finished my backlog vols and had 2-3 glorious free from scanlation weeks where I managed to finish playing resident evil requiem. Then I was slapped with 2 volumes released(this included) on the same week. 1 of the volume wasn't so bad as I only had to finish one chapter off and do the cover, This vol was also finished QCed just today. Would've liked a few more days to polish it more, but I ran out of time before release day. Like last vol, this was also done in a rush.

Then 2 more volumes of my projects came out today. Also kinda not bad cause there's about 70 pages with not that much sfx I have to do, but would still be a tight deadline if I'm to release it by next week.
What's sadder is that I had already translated the novel excerpt of that just to find out the ss the mangaka decided on is the same part where I translated the excerpt. So now I gotta translate another different excerpt IF I could finish the new pages by next week and if I have time to spare. iykyk

Honestly, I kinda dug the earlier draft version of the MMC more than what we got. He's got a darker gloomier feel, that feels more appropriate for his supposed reputation.

Yep, after the reveal, I went back to look, and I laughed so much at all the convenient bubbles and panels that cut only the top of his head. XD

I'll be honest. This only just hit me too. And I'm the one who edited and translated it . No wonder alfred was using past tense when talking about the biggest off thing.

He's supposed to be a military man. The chosen design was the only possibility. The first one would have been absolutely horrendous, looking so emo. His reputation was a womaniser, so #2 might have actually suited the reputation the best, but isn't it a part of the joke that he doesn't actually look like a womaniser? He just look like a very serious person normally, which is the chosen #3.
