thanks for the TL!

i think it's still believable that hana found lily on time. lily and her sister presumably walked and that would take a considerable time not only with lily being blind, but also because her sister might not know how to keep pace with her since they don't spend much time together.

what's amusing to me is how hana found lily in the river. the visibility must be nil due to the rain but she miraculously found her. not complaining tho.

i hope we get a few extras after the final chapter. i want to see them happy and lovey dovey together.

I wouldn't mind it if our protags used those clippers hana brought in chapter 1, to kill the alleged "temptress" (blind cutie), and shoved them up the parentals asses. Then promptly went to live with neko's uncle

Lily drowning while thinking about overwatered flowers. Hopefully I'll next be knocked over the head with her being replanted in a friendlier environment with two people who knows what she needs to survive.

Those maids having no fondness towards their late mistress's sweet daughter... it's one thing if it's people outside of the household but that place was rotten top to bottom.

I'm still torn on what the sister thought she was doing taking her here. "That ought to have been long enough I think..." It seemed to me like she was taking her there to give her the option of doing exactly what she was doing, but when she saw Hana she came off as unaware there was a situation.

I really have to commend the author for how neatly they have been tying up all the loose ends in these last few chapters.
Don't have anything to add that hasn't been said yet, otherwise. But I am very much looking forward to the finale.

I don't think the sister meant anything by it. She thought she'd give her sister some time to herself and figured that had been enough. Just then Hana comes bursting through in a panic and the sister is genuinely confused (reacting by herself). She doesn't understand her sister well (doesn't try to), so she's just a bit clueless.

She was standing with her back turned to the path that led to the river. After saying those words, and just before Hana arrived, she was in the process of turning around, so towards Lily.
I have a feeling that Suzu had no idea that Lily wanted to kill herself. She really just took her at her word.

"Thank you for bringing me. Can I be alone for a while?"
"Make it fast. You can't get back on your own, right?"

That was their last exchange.

In a very ironic twist, the one sister who wasn't blind just didn't see it coming.

Suzu is such an interesting character. I don't think she ever truly hated her sister. It doesn't negate her treatment of Lily, but the things that drive her definitely are more complex than that.

An interesting observation as well: she agreed to do this favour for Lily, thinking it to be no more than that - a simple favour. Bringing her to this place that was important to her. Suzu had no obligation to do this, stood absolutely nothing to gain from it (other than maybe a cold, considering the bad weather), and she didn't even stop there: she also actually even brought a spare umbrella for her sister.

I think in a strange way she actually cares, or at least tries to care, it's just that nobody ever taught her how to do that.
Her parents clearly don't care much about her.

And I think more than anything, Suzu is trying to get a rise out of her. Getting Lily to be angry for once. At her, at their circumstances, at anything, really. I don't think she can comprehend how somebody could be in Lily's situation and not feel this anger that she feels constantly. And instead, what she gets is heartfelt sympathy, or even worse, genuine pity from her.

And because Suzu is who she is, she likes to interpret that as Lily being duplicitous, because that is how she has learned is how people act, and especially, because the alternative is so much worse.
Because the alternative would mean accepting that Lily is the one person to genuinely love her.
That she has treated the one person who actually cares about her like dirt for years.
That Lily actually is a better person than her.
That maybe, the reason why there are these people who honestly love Lily, while there are none who do the same for Suzu, is because Lily has given them a reason to do so, and that it is on her if there is nobody who loves her.

Rather than accepting that, she has tried so hard all this time to prove to both herself and to Lily that they actually are the same.
Tried to find the parts she hated so much about herself in Lily, and overlooking her actual flaws in the process.
Once more: I don't think Suzu ever hated her sister.
I think she hated the aspects of herself that she projected onto her.
It's such a weird tragedy with these two, and I genuinely hope that they may both find a happy end of their own.

i don't know if it was ever meant to be this short/rushed ending but the author is working on a 'romcom' now instead. still yuri. although who knows maybe it's a 'safer' bet to do a 'lighthearted' romcom versus tragiyuri, despite the 'toxic yuri' memes ppl have

Its a little crazy how Lily's sister basically watched her and was counting until she was dead. I didn't think she hated Lily that much.
