Always unequip items from walking corpses in games.

Some game developers have realized that unexpected party member death taking all their shit with them is just bad design considering how much the games probably emphasized properly equipping your entire party and not just the main character. I'm still in the habit of making a copious amount of save files at like 2-5 minute intervals though in any game that lets me, just because of shit like that or the amount of times I've crashed to the desktop in stuff like Skyrim, though. You can never be too careful.
