@aFFi : Well, from checking the RAW, you probably should ignore the guy even existing, he's basically just there to get dragged into things

One of the RAW I saw
Is about two 'shield spirits' looking like a wrestler with their respective shield as their crotch guard.

Well, their final move explode their clothes and shoot out laser from their crotch.

Actually, the story is really great.
The only problem here is the little sister, she's extremely annoying, and i respect Lucas for being so patient with her, it would be too much for me and i would have already let her run away with her Husbando sword.

I'm reading this for Lucas, i want this poor guy to get a good ending.

@Madnacc Are you forgetting that the MC's sister almost killed him by sucking his soul out of his body? That sounds pretty bad to me.

Letting a 9-year old child carry a sapient soul-and-life-sucking monster sword with amnesia, letting said child use said sword to remove her guardian's soul from his body without consent repeatedly, letting said child blow giant holes through mountains for fun, letting her keep the sword after it's pretty much confirmed it's insanely evil and has brought the world to its knees before. AMONG OTHER THINGS. And the one guy who recognizes these things as dangerous (and who is repeatedly in danger of losing his soul, whatever that results in) is treated like a jackass for having complaints. It's basically the story of one young adult being taken advantage of in a world where everyone else have the mental capacity of a 6-year old.

man I know that Lucas is supposed to be the voice of reason but he is doing an absolute shite job of it.

@boldmonkey the issue I have with him is how the author portrays him as the dumbest human in town but then has excellent insight on people and things while everyone else is the exact opposite.

I think it's ok.
MC is clearly overworked with 10 different jobs. If his sister is gone/rich, then he can rest easy.
No need to worry so much about the demon sword once his sister is employed by the Dark God guy.
He just needs to let go and chill.

My God, everyone is such a cunt to MC. The sister gets a pass because she is a brat but at the very least the childhood friend should try to keep her tantrums in check instead of encouraging them.

Poor dude wageslaves the entire day to bring food to the table and yet everyone shits on him for not wanting to have the Sword of Apocalypse in his house near his clearly immature sister who thinks pulling the soul of people out of their bodies while they sleep is fun.

Organo looks super cool and and Riko’s a hot but awful boss. Lucas should just let his sister and the sword work there. They’ll get enough money to afford a better standard of living and she’ll get to learn more about the world.

Too bad the little twerp is just so annoying to the point that the Male MC is brought down with her. I never thought that it's possible for me to hate a little girl as much as i hate a shitty brat.

In a world of swords an magic. There has been no indication so far (except the MCs words an NO ONE ELSE) that giving a 9y old a sword (regardless of what that sword is) is a bad or uncommon thing.
letting said child use said sword to remove the guardian's soul from his body without consent repeatedly
@daxrocket
1) you don't really "let" someone do something you are not aware of. The moment MC found out he banned that behavior.
2) In the eyes of the sister it was more like a prank. You know, like throwing a bag into a group of people and yell "bomb". It's a really dumb and certainly dangerous prank but it wasn't done with evil intend. I will agree that the sister is likely a bit 'out there' but so far nothing has indicated that she (or the sword, mind you) are currently evil.
letting said child blow giant holes through mountains for fun
This isn't our world. For all we know they do that on a daily basis just to show of their strength to people. There is also no indication (so far) that this is in any way 'evil' or even 'problematic'
letting her keep the sword after it's pretty much confirmed it's insanely evil and has brought the world to its knees before
page 14, middle row left panel
The sword acknowledges a 'master' and has obligations to them. With that it's reasonable to think that its previous feats might not have been its own will but that of its master back then (although judging by its persona it no doubt enjoyed it). Even Organo said that "the world doesn't need such destructive power" (page 14, upper left panel) but not that it's dangerous or evil.
and who is repeatedly in danger of losing his soul
Since he found out about his sisters 'prank' he hasn't been threatened to lose his soul even once.
is treated like a jackass for having complaints
Personally I think he's a jackass because he doesn't listen to others and acts essentially like a stereotypical racist: "He/She/It looks shady so it must be bad and dangerous. Get rid of it."

Except that the sword appears to be considerably more dangerous than a nuclear warhead with a history of evil deeds, with power extraordinary even within the setting (thus making it hard for anyone to control should it wish to cause further destruction)? Are you actually arguing that such things belongs in the hands of a 9-year old? And comparing it to giving a 9-year old ANY old sword?
1) you don't really "let" someone do something you are not aware of. The moment MC found out he banned that behavior.
You "let" someone do that when other adults hear about it and do nothing but laugh it off while ignoring the complaints of the victim. It's a bit like if a child throws a rock through a window and the only adult person voicing complaints is brushed off by other adults who do nothing to disencourage such behavior: they LET the child do such things.
The sword acknowledges a 'master' and has obligations to them. With that it's reasonable to think that its previous feats might not have been its own will but that of its master back then
Nope, totally wrong. What you think is "reasonable" is irrelevant: the sword itself states that in the past it has drained its then-user as well as his enemy, "because it got over-enthusiastic". Likewise, nobody ordered it to drain the life out of its surroundings, it did that on its own volition. That it feels it has obligations towards its master is not shown to be anything other than a fancy by the amnesiac and whimsical sword (as per the title: The WHIMSICAL Cursed Sword).
This isn't our world. For all we know they do that on a daily basis just to show of their strength to people. There is also no indication (so far) that this is in any way 'evil' or even 'problematic'
No, we know with absolute certainty that it's not an everyday occurrence, considering that it was a Dark God's signature move (admittedly in order to show off his power in this case). Also, regardless of ethical norms in this absurdist comedic fantasy world, it's objectively a bad idea to let pre-pubescent children run around with the sapient equivalents of nuclear weaponry.
Since he found out about his sisters 'prank' he hasn't been threatened to lose his soul even once.
Assuming she gave a single fuck about his command that she stop doing it, considering that she has shown zero regard for anything he says so far. Also, if she did indeed stop, it still does not make her possession of the sword a good (or anything less than batshit insanely mega-terrible) idea.
Personally I think he's a jackass because he doesn't listen to others and acts essentially like a stereotypical racist: "He/She/It looks shady so it must be bad and dangerous. Get rid of it."
Are you trying to troll me right now? Are you honestly saying the sole reasoning behind his judgment is that it LOOKS shady, after it's drained the life out of a huge area simply by being in contact with it, after it's pulled his soul from his body, after it's blown up a mountain, after clearly being identified as having history of terrible deeds?
I mean, how do you even argue these points despite the fact that the comedy of this series is entirely built on the premise that "In an insane society, the sane man must appear insane"?
