He mentioned not fun to kill in that place so likely didn't kill the guy as didn't want to upset his date (death and blood major mood killer for average person,) and likely to avoid having to do a long report to city watch explaining why killed guy and convincing them has no idea who hired assassin. After all, if just killed and left the body would likely create more trouble and might have noticed people watching from behind closed doors and windows. Whether luck or ability to detect something interesting there's always a chance of someone noticing the commotion and watching out of curiosity or entertainment. Unfortunately for guys raiding house it's a private residence very far away from neighbors or possible reasons to be in area. Really crazy how just the two of them were able to take down the whole group so quickly and cleanly. Would've been more informational and entertaining if one or more of the thugs had peed on the floor from fear so could see Morin in action and how she fights.
