Page 40 (I think) is untranslated, otherwise it's good

Edit: Problem seems to be fixed

BSKJASBDSAJKB a blender... i feel like this is one of those times where you can tweak the machine translation using context clue and use the word saucier?? since i assume the concept of a cook itself isn't foreign to this isekai world

Thanks for translation.

On to a new place.

Kinda sad that the manga ended a while ago. 11vols isnt enough for me.

Only hope is if the ln gets picked up but i doubt it.

Blender is based off of the title of master blender, from the alcohol distillation industry; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Master_blender

oh yeah just checked the raw too and the furigana really DID just say BLENDER lmfao but calling it just blender sounds so off in english

fun fact 調合師 is translated as compounder by google translate
it can also be translated as blender, synthesizer, chemist, mixer, etc. none of which other than blender really fit for tasting spices, specifically. Compounding doesn't really work because it's evoking and referring to the pharmaceutical industry, where it refers to the preparation of a custom medication or chemical to fit a unique need for a patient. Synthesizer evokes feelings of creating something from nothing (thanks to sci-fi) or of referring to music (due to the prevalence of the instrument), rather than the process of chemical synthesis. Chemist, see both prior. Mixer... well, technically? But it's just so vague a title because of how open the concept of just "mixing" is, and it also lacks the other half of what makes her ability to mix spices so good (her sense of taste), while Blender has prior use in the alcohol industry regarding mixing and tasting combined that it just fits so much more.

personally i feel like using the full title of "master blender" makes it less confusing than just "blender" due to the popular meaning of the word BUT it's MTL and also available for free so im grateful with just this much

thanks for the explanation!

The thing there that I discovered as I did more research on the topic is that "master blender" is actually a separate title, referring to, well, a master of the art; someone who is just starting out is simply referred to as a "blender", or, if apprenticed to another, "blender apprentice", ofc. I just knew of master blenders in the whisky industry because I'd come across that name before in discussions as a cook, hah.
