It will cause the end of all life on earth, because extending their territory means covering the Earth in darkness. No sunlight = no photosynthesis, which mean no more vegetal life, no more food, everyone dies of hunger, the end (unless maybe the darklings since they say they are immortal within the darnkess territory).

assuming that Darklings are bad and it's ok to experiment on them, how did she know this? Why not experiment on human, or elves, or dark elves? Unless she already experimented on them all to reach that conclusion, which again, will make her the most evil person in the series.
