1. MC wakes in this world with fixed history: the elf village was destroyed->Fury left the village. MC then meets Fury and go adventure with her
2. The Time Hijink: at this point, MC get time traveled to the past before elf village was destroyed. The objective is to save the elf village. But if the elf village isn't destroyed, Fury never leaves the village thus never meets MC, (1) won't happen
3. So, MC keeps the village destroyed but saves the elves and decieves The World Fury and that one elf(forgot her name) by brainwashing them so (1) will happen

So, currently the translation is 11 Chapters behind the Raws (Ch.64 raw was released about 4-5 days ago).
At this rate, we won't really catch-up, rather we would be getting further away (it is even possible that Official translation might surpass Fan-translation eventually if things go as it is).

he went back to prevent that from happening by making sure the people are safe but the destruction of the village still happens
if he stuck with the original plan of preventing the village from being destroyed the whole village floating into the sky would've happened and split the timeline into 2 separate lines causing a time paradox
