So because the MC suffers from crippling social anxiety enough that he has no confidence in approaching people to make friends, much less experience romance, and, even if he didn't, wouldn't try to win over the girl he is interested in (probably doesn't even realize he likes her) because she might be attracted to another, that means he is a "self cuck beta male"?

Over here we will enjoy a heartwarming manga about a guy courageous enough to get out of his comfort zone and try to change himself because he genuinely wants to make friends, not (only) because he wants to win the girl, and that will most likely give us romance later down the road after character development happened.
