I think it’s crazy they didn’t try to contact him but I do get why he couldn’t Dewey’s side. Everything resolved so easily but considering the content of what was happening, he probably shouldn’t be leaving Dewey’s side during the whole thing. Considering the prince marrying into her family would completely undermine the process of getting him to become king, which was the goal of the queen, it wouldn’t be unthinkable that there could be assassination attempts.

In the novel, he was informed by Dewey's brother (current head of Sopeid), and he was granted the permission to leave immediately, without wasting time on ceremonies and such. He actually didn't met his master, and there were no talk about going to "shrinemaiden's place whatever it's called".

On the other hand, in order to meet blois as "galant gentleman on a white horse", he was introduced to the tons of craftsmen to get his gear done. Previously, the way he looked, aka "shabby man in kimono with a wooden sword" became kind of trademark of his, so Sopeid intentionally kept it that way. His gear was top-notch made by masters, but looked shabby nevertheless. In the past, all masters had their pride broken by Sansui in one way or another. Swordmaker-master aired his grievances on "Finally! Finally you came to me to get a PROPER SWORD! What do you think i felt, when customer asking me for the same sword that best swordsman is using, and i needed to point out to the wooden stick?!". Clothes tailor master started "I was expecting you to get to me for fitting your clothes, since you're still growing. And there i thought it was strange that your sizes never changed. How disapointed i was when i learned that it's because you are sage that never change at all! the journey back and forth takes a year of travel. so they were more than a year away. as fast as he is. you cant really send a bodyguard away for few days to deliver a message. especially not on the brink of civil war, and a lot of hostile princesses(towards dew).

they change a lot of things. like them not fighting princesses. and turning a lot of reasoning generic. like the mom being forgiven because she cried. (she was not forgiven and her children disowned her)

It's not really super-speed, and using Light Step and Flash Step to move that much distance would tire Sansui out. As seen, he would need one of the techniques that Suiboku has.
Like, how would that letter even get to Sansui, anyway?
It took 6 months to get to Majan; say a messenger could get there in half the time. When would you be sending a letter? In Brauer's third trimester? Once the baby is born?
Since it seems that Brauer only started showing signs of pregnancy after Sansui left, let's assume his trip and her pregnancy start roughly at the same time. Then when the baby is born, Sansui is just 3 months away from arriving back in the Arcana Kingdom.
