That’s MTL trash for you, not even bothering to check what went wrong when the translation makes no sense…

Here’s what the raw says. Translator obviously misread さつき (Satsuki) instead of さっき (sakki) which means “just now”. A better translation would be “So they weren’t badmouthing us just now, they were showing their affection?”
