WELL it depends on the drunk person. some are very brutal honest that it makes people drop their jaws.

It would be a rather strange law, but it certainly would explain some things, like how even in isekai series the MC always refuses to drink alcoholic drinks, even though it's an entirely different universe. Such a law would also mean that if in a manga a Japanese young adult of 18 or 19 summers travels to Europe, the manga couldn't have the character drink a cold one. More importantly, wouldn't it mean the manga couldn't depict any European young adult drinking either, even though that would definitely break the realism, no matter how realistic the manga might otherwise try to be.

Highly doubt such a law exists, or a major plot point in Skip to Loafer wouldn't exist.

I may very well be wrong, but that entire trope might be due to a law forbidding the depiction of minors consuming alcoholic beverages, or so i've read.
Hence skirting the prohibition by using liquor chocolates (or sometimes just soda or some other non-alcoholic beverage) and comical lightweightedness instead to still invoke in vino veritas with underage characters.

Yandere Kanojo used amazake which is very much legal for minor. Di note tg characters were punished for drunken behavior tho
