Another thing that kinda bothers me with this series is that when there are tons and tons of chapters of just gag interactions between the main couple and little actual progress, it starts feeling like the author doesn't really intend to do anything else with the series, which makes it quite likely that the confession will be belayed endlessly and when it finally comes the series will just end. Which is a valid way to structure a series, but not one I personally like.
