In NGNL God created the games so that conflict could be resolved in a peaceful and fun way so that the world would be better.
In this story games are botched to be cruel means of exploiting others and humiliating them.
This changes the message of each story massivly. NGNL shows that there is always a peaceful way where everyone can have fun while in this story they have a dude who goes against a system that is completly f*cked up and trying to get it straight.
