Lost the interest the moment Karen wanted to judge even though she was winning.

So why in the fuck did she Judge if she already won? Jss christ that's just dumb. I expected little sis to lose, but in a proper beat down. Not this stupid self inflicted failure followed by a mental breakdown from nowhere.

"I have a weaker hand than you, I'm all in, and I will definitely lose this game right here and now if you just play to the flow like you said you were going to"
"NO, you MUST be planning something, JUDGE"

Why did you call at all if this was what you were going to do?

Karen's bad moves were because she is absolutely overthinking it...
As someone who often plays PvP games like Mizuha is doing in this chapter (i.e. do mostly random moves and start thinking about the game only in the last phases), I can truly relate to this chapter, since I've actually experienced opponents playing like Karen here.

As a side note, I think I might or might not have gotten some dialogues mistranslated, so if something sounds weird it's probably because of that. Apologies.

Dont bet with things you dont wanna lose, ya dumbfuck.

The execution is just so bad. The twin trick was obvious and Karen suddenly became a total dumbfuck in a few chapters. I wouldn't be surprised though if the author backtracks and suddenly reveals that Karen was just trying to motivate and agitate her brother.

Now Guren has to save her or at least reverse the results of this bet. "hurr durr you made my little sister cry~"
Isn't this just too fast paced though? He's almost reached the president. I hope it doesn't go like Kakegurui and just introduces random characters / transferees out of nowhere.

Edit: That breakdown from Karen was pathetic and disappointing too wow

>Told her there was no point in accepting the game
>Told her there was no point in accepting the bet
>Told her she only had everything to lose and nothing to gain
Am I supposed to feel bad his sister lost? I get she wants to remain by her brother's side but hopefully seeing the type of people he's trying to AVOID will wake her up(who the hell am I kidding, she won't learn shit from this).

@GipoScribantino "Karen's moves were bad because she was overthinking it."

Yeah, and a lot of people in the comments don't seem to understand that. She made several bad calls here, but that's because she was emotionally rattled and trying to compensate by overthinking the situation. Mizuha won by NOT thinking, which seems stupid, but like you, I've played enough PvP games to not only have that used against me, but to have also used it against others. It's a better strategy than some people give it credit for, because it stops people from trying to hard counter you by guessing your gimmick or strategy. It can cause over-thinkers and hard strategists to fumble. Which is what happened here. Sometimes being stupid and skilled is the best way to win. Just turn your brain off and do whatever you want.

People seem to forget that the biggest mistake she made was accepting this fight at all. She had no reason to, besides emotional investment and pride. Mizuha provoked her and insulted her and her relationship with the MC. The correct response would have been to laugh in her face and tell her to go pound sand. Like the MC said last chapter, the trap was agreeing to the match at all. Mizuha's victory was already a foregone conclusion, because Karen would only take the bait in the first place if she was emotionally rattled and upset. By agreeing to the match, she already proved that she was rattled. So Mizuha was already very certain that she could just play around and Karen would overthink herself into a grave.

If characters behave like they have real emotions and hearts, people complain because that's not the "smart" thing to do. If characters only ever do the "smart" or "correct" thing, people complain, because that's boring and dull. Some people just cannot be pleased.

But why call for judgement? She straight up admits that this was her win, and her opponent was all in. There is no reason to try to gain 10 more chips of her opponent when she is winning a flawless victory. This is just bad plot development. Now if it was, 4 of a kind, then the call makes sense, but this just makes the character seem really dumb.

why the author makes it too obvious which character is gonna lose the duel, at least sprinkle a twist or two, this is just straight ridiculous and not fun at all
