Based Dad trash hoe bag mum until we confirm what her backstory is.
cheating is unforgivable most of the time but can still at least be understood(unhappy/abused) if it's not just the generic (I'm horny scum who doesn't care about/respect my partner's feelings these people can just drop dead.)

Okay I figured this was the case since he mentioned Mendel's Law, but why does Kousei bring it up? It feels melodramatic. What bearing does it have on his relationship with Akira?

It’s quite pathetic that he making a fuss about blood type. If they’ve together lived from day 1 then they are family. It’s that simple. Only the lowly ones would care about such distinctions

For a long time I was told my blood type is AB, just like my mother (also AB), while my father had type 0.
When I learnt how this inheritance actually works, I was "a bit" surprised.
But in the end my parents misread mother's blood type as my own, later blood test has shown B, which is correct (A or B).

For the record, punnett squares aren't the end-all, be-all of genetics. The likelihood of having similar traits to your parents is greater than the traits of your grandparents, and greater for your grandparents than your grandparents. That doesn't mean it's impossible for a recessive allele to suddenly appear out of nowhere.

Genetics is less a methodical calibration of genes, and more like a shotgun blast of the last 500 years of your ancestors. Every time a child is born, you don't really know what you're going to get.
