I have to agree with you.

The Wolf Girl feels too much like an older sister and everyone else aside from Char, his step/adopted sister, has some sort of motive aside from Iris. Iris is the only one where the chemistry between her and Haruto feels more natural than anything else.

It's the friendless and pushover-but-will-do-anything-for-the-cause vibe. Haruto's cause for Char and Iris's cause for demon-human cordial relationship. It can be observed because Iris and Haruto actually hold very little expectations of themselves, but expect a lot of what they can do for others (and at times unrealistic idealistic adulation of said others). Realistically, I think Iris expects too much of humans without knowing/acknowledging/underestimating their wants and sins. This might be where we see more of her development in the story.
Frankly I have no idea what has made Iris hellbent on being trying to be friendly with humans as an (ex)demon lord; she may really be an angel in disguise for how kindly she treats others despite her social awkwardness and how roughly she has been treated.
Haruto already gave up, but Char is gonna drag him back into human society.

Ah yes, the best use of your "secret" identity, stalking. Personally I'm glad so many people in this series are not total idiots and can tell Shiva is Haruto and are just going along with it because they can tell he's not a bad guy. Also how strong is that spell(?) that's setting up the Magical Girl War that even it's own caster gets caught up in it and potentially exposes his own identity.

Almost but not exactly, considering that Char did want Iris as Haruto's first wife while herself being his 2nd wife. It was mentioned quite a while ago (I can't remember which chapter she said that).

Though if she did find out that she could have Haruto as her supporter, she'd be disappointed.
