It's probably the butterfly effect. She's a part of the highly influential class after all. Things that she did or didn't do this time around might have caused grandpa's change in mood, glasses guy's change of plan, Saionji's different manoeuvres, .. etc. that eventually led to new company acquisitions, or even a product designer selling the product to another company.
