This was indeed the best chapter so far.

To be fair, Rent-A-Girlfriend is such a low bar to clear.

I think all time sink hobbies are all similar in regard to "Why do I do this? Oh, look it's the next day..."

In model-building the end result it's also a major motivational point. Watching how you model/kit/unit/army ends up after all those hours assembling, converting, painting, decorating, etc.. is a wonderful feeling. But in the end it's mostly a matter of preference. There are those who only build (the minimum) and paint (badly) for their power in the tabletop game and those who spend months or years to have the collection they envision regardless of anything else.

Also, I was reading this chapter while doing some modeling myself (assembling a Warhammer: Age of Sigmar's Stormreach Portal) and I feel I enjoyed both more than usual. Dunno why.

Now everyone has no time, started a family, drifted apart, died, etc.........

Yakumo better teach Iroha really well to make up how rude she's been to her super-patient best friend all this time.

I also found it funny that Yakumo thinks 25$ worth of paint is a fortune then I remember how little disposable income I had in high school. I FEEL YOUR PAIN YAKUMO!

I don't know why they think metallic paints dull when in contact with the air? I tried brush painting a mini with Mr.Color Super Metallic 2 Super Duralumin 208 and I haven't even varnished it at all and it still looks as shiny as ever.
