This really feels like it took a turn from the flash forward in the first chapter to setup the premise. In the first one she wouldn’t let him take overtime, which suggested to me that the “slave” thing was her excuse to help him change and make better life decisions. Every chapter since then just feels like her teasing him and causing him more problems. I would have enjoyed the chapter a lot more if she heard he missed breakfast and made him eat something actually healthy and fulfilling as opposed to a bunch if junk food. Or if she just straight up made a bento and blackmailed him into taking it for lunch (that’d actually be cute). On top of that, she’s just making him get chewed out more at work. At this rate he’ll just get fired and lose his job, which makes it much harder to find a new better one. What I was hoping for from this series is her to make him eat properly, get healthier, stop doing overtime, and eventually get the confidence to quit his shitty job and get one that doesn’t work him to death. In the first chapter he said he wanted to die and felt absolutely pathetic as he spoke of all his failed dreams and aspirations. He sounded like he had no hope, and I thought becoming the highschool girl’s “slave” would be the catalyst to spark changes in his life and make him happy, but I don’t see how that’s happening. If I were in his place I would only want to die more. He’s now backed between a pushy highschool girl that treats him like a pet and constantly teases him and a company that overworks him for basic pay. His lifestyle seems no healthier, he isn’t exhibiting any character development or changes to his self esteem, and I know romance will develop, but from his standpoint the girl doesn’t seem interested, attracted to him, or nice to him in the slightest. Overall, I feel like the author just really dropped the ball with this one. It would have been fairly simple to write a better story with constant plot progression, obvious romance, character development, fluffy, and the whole works. Instead it feels like I’m getting a basic forced romcom with (probably) random drama and plot progression when the author thinks I’m getting bored (hint: I’m already bored). All in all, fairly disappointing

@TNT261. I think her goal is to get him fired. I often wondered why people who work at black companies don't just quit. But I noticed that a lot of people in Japan tend to stick with a company through thick and thin. Even if it is killing them.

Here in the US, there is an attitude of "fuck the management" that helps fight black companies. They exist all over here in the US but people just find new work as soon as them can and treat them like temp work. I dont see that there.

She would be doing him a favor by getting him fired.

So it's a manga about a girl who makes an overstressed company man "stop and smell the roses" under the premise of raising him like a pet?
Like... I hate it... and yet I don't.

That comment was from 4 years ago so i dont really remember it. But im quite sure the me then was trying to joke on how "god" in reversed is "dog".
Ahhhh, ok. Damn a few years go by so fast, I remember reading this back then too but don't wanna create a mangadex account since I mostly read on mangakakalot cause it loads faster than it load the whole page so I can just download the html and read while on the road with no wifi.
