The confusion arises from p. 26 (26 according to MD, 24 in the page itself), where Asakura's thought box is positioned beside the frame of Kanzaki's face (lower left frame). It is designed to string along the reader through p. 27/25 (and therefore delay the reveal) until Asakura's face is revealed on p. 28/26. That Asakura is the *bleep* that fathered the child is established by the dialogue on that page as well: Asakura is lost in thought because he is thinking that he has to make sure that the child is not his.
