That was a nice chapter. It's nice to see the pacing go back to what it was like in the one-shot: the characters get to interact naturally, the jokes get more time to sink in, and the plot is less rushed.
I guess they can't exactly call it quits just yet. I hope this series doesn't go in the action direction, because that would just be a waste of a slice-of-life premise. I don't think it will, mind you: this chapter made is abundantly clear that Asuka does not care for "being a hero," but instead just wants to be a good person. She has a very strong sense of personal duty.
