confusing, but I sort of get what's going on. Not going to complain over it though because this kinda format works better as a SocMed serial than when treated like a published work. I would hesitate to rush labelling it as completed until I was fully certain of whats going on.

Last chapter almost feels like she got her body snatched or something, maybe by another version of her. Kind of veering into horror.

Yeap, this is what I can almost 100% guess what happened. Herself from a different timeline/loop/dimension replaced her. You can tell that there is a different way she speaks in the last chapter compared to the chapters leading up. And it’s supposed to seem sort of a smooth transition or normal because of course you would speak differently if you just all of a sudden got all your memories back but the one who came back from the door is also missing the white sparkle that’s normally at the top of her eyes. She’s also WAY more forward than the previous one (the one you just banged).

The way the door was being obsessively rang too should’ve tipped you off that something is going to go wrong in the next scene. Black bubbles with red text.

I’m guessing when she got into an accident, the her originally from our timeline got exchanged with a different one’s soul/body/entity, probably the reason she lost her memory. But somehow the original was able to make her way back to us, and realized she needed to replace her doppelgänger. Our new one probably got her memories back at that time because the original was so nearby, and there was some kind of either entity blending happening (two instances of a single person cannot exist at the same time in the same place), or another supernatural occurrence.

Either way, this is all conjecture but holy shit I would love if the artist would do a massive explanation at the end to clear up the logic.

EDIT: Okay, I went back to check earlier chapters and the chapters leading up to the accident had a bunch of reality-warping pixel blocks occurring, and something similar where space is distorting is happening at the top left of the last page, so yes. Some shenanigans and fuckery is going on again.

Good catch on the distortion on the left. That said, this feels like it's more annoying than intriguing if I'm being honest.

yes, we can say thats its a time loop since new post after this chapter has the exact same panels as ch 1 and onwards (some new ones too) but with dialogues slightly changed. i dont know where should i upload them.

also, when i say 'end' it means, "this world" end

I would say either continue it, or start a new one even if it has the same title - could be in related and stuff.

Some of those 1 page mangas continue past "End" chapters like the one with girl seeing dude as air and even using him as a living dildo - they ended up marrying and we still get chapters of their life, and their daughter strongly pursuing "new victim".

Others have new series like IIRC that one about girl who was bullied/beaten by her own parents - they ended up together and then a continuation started about them living together now in a lovy-dovy fluffy relationship.

Personally if its a "mindfuck/time loops/some alternative realities swapping or mixing then the first option of continuation would simply work better.

yes, i am asking too much questions because this my first time scanlating a manga. i hope you will understand.

That's so awesome and also kinda dystopian in a funny way. Like, "I can't do this anymore because the author is having a staged breakdown"

I looked though the artist social media and discovered a few things. First she has another series with with looks to be a landmine type girl and this Gyaru from this series shows up as what I can only assume to be her friend. More bizarrely the creator aimisu_u has a game coming out where “you control the dogshit female artist “aimisu_u” and become the legendary artist she so desperately wants to become”. The Gyaru is in some of the art. It is also getting an English translation according to the steam page. What the fuck is going on

I don't know what going on, the author clearly has no idea what he's doing or how to present a story.

This girl, shall we call her Ayase for now, has pink nails and longer bangs from chapter 23 onwards, until the accident. It's implied that chapter 23 is the earliest point in the story, somewhere around 2019 when she got the beret as a gift, which she would later rediscover on May 5th 2021, long after the accident, and use in chapter 1.

Chapter 34 implies that the accident caused episodic amnesia that got worse over time, until it became nearly permanent. All the things they do from chapter 1 to 22 seems to be the MC's attempts to get her to remember her past - buying her a copy or her own serialized manga, going to the same anime convention, the same cafe, the same arcade, letting her see her contact details on his phone, even wearing the kinky police outfit he bought her way back in chapter 23. She managed to remember it all on chapter 42, right before she opened the door. Just in time.

And then she says the line that turns this from an amnesia story into actual horror - "Then who is the woman at the door?"

Notice the graphical glitches at the top left of chapter 47. Near the front door of the apartment. Near the bubble speech where Ayase tells the MC that "his brain is scrambled" and that he can't tell what's real.

The MC might just be a brain in a jar living a simulation of some sort, and it glitched out at some point, creating at least two Ayases - the one from chapter 35, and the one from all the other chapters. They might have merged together when they met at the door.
