He punched the line, if he can punch the line he can just grab it.

The way it looks, Buccellati punched the line and used his Stand ability on it, the line transferred the energy of that ability to Prosciutto, which unzipped his hand and set the line free. Then Prosciutto fell and Buccellati held on to the line.
