On my first read I was really disappointed that this is where Sandman's character ended up. I was hoping he would at least end up allying with our main cast eventually but now after several reads I get it. Sandman never had any allegiance to anyone in the race. His only goal was to get money and an opportunity for quick & easy cash presented itself so he took it. No one character in this part is without flaws.
