I haven't read the source material, but from these last two chapters, she doesn't seem to be interested in avenging others. She just wants an excuse to do something because she is bored.
(If that's not the case, then the portrayal is completely off.)
Based on this view, it's not hypocritical or contradictory. She is an empty character without clear morals or purpose. She just reacts to things because nothing else drives her.

So far, I stand by my comment on a previous chapter. She is a boring character because she has no intent, no ambition, no purpose. She just sits in her nest until something gives her an excuse to move and act.

Maybe things will change, and I'll stick around a little longer because I like the concept of the story. But to this point, I'm not too impressed by the MC.
