Would've loved to see Cocoa and Opera's relationship explored further and reach some kind of conclusion but I liked the ending. For an open-ended ending it wasn't unsatisfying at all and felt fitting.

Just found and read this manga. It's an absolute rarity for it to actually have a trans character, not just an otokonoko. Actually the representation is amazing overall; gender fluidity, dressing to escape, dressing for attention--all these different and realistic perspectives are explored.

Of course, at the end, I'm a bit disappointed that the author could not commit to the gender-blind romance. I have to wonder if this was an act of cowardice; that the audience came to see girls in love and saying that they could be in love as guys too would be over some imagined line. Maybe it was an editor decision. I don't know.

It doesn't counteract all the good stuff in the work, but it does feel like the story didn't reach its full potential. It was great, but could have been amazing.
