It makes sense to do an on-site inspection, the plaintiff's side wasn't allowed to inspect the factory nor take a look at the documents because the company claimed it would disclose trade secrets, but on that data depends the veredict of the judge, and even though the defendant claims the number of sick people are a coincidence, they are enough of a trend to justify an inspection.

Other than a trial being multiple days of the week it feels like on site inspection should be something done earlier tho I suppose a judge could “order” it if no warrant before tho timing would be tricky in other cases if they get rid of evidence or so
