@Karmichel It would be even better if they didn't use machine translated portuguese. some of these spells are clearly translated into portuguese from english. Such as "Eu escrevo isso, lágrima"
If you analyse the effect of the spell you can clearly see that it was translated from the world tear, which can mean both "Lágrima"(from tears, as in tears of joy, tears of sadness and so on) or "Rasgar/Romper"(as in, tearing things apart or to rip), the second meaning being much closer to what the spell actually does. If I were the editor, i'd change it into: Eu escrevo, dilacerar(also means tear but in this case it is much stronger than "rasgar" or "romper", because "rasgar" would be like tearing by hand), the "isso" word can be safely omited too, in this case, because it is pretty easy to understand what is the caster mentioning in their chants.

I know bro... I am Brazilian... I just pointed out that the mangaka used Portuguese to the chants... By the way, I totally agree with you... I just don't know if this is an error from the mangaka itself or the guys translating this to English... Sem problemas, eu saquei teu ponto...

@Reikou He's still a better physician than anyone that world has got. Not like there would be any laws against a veterinarian treating humans as much as he wants in a fantasy world, either.

@BloodySorcerer Assuming you are talking about the scanlator group's editor, if I was the editor (and it's like I believe it is), I'd just do what the editor already did: Leave it like the author originally put it, even if it was bad. In the end the point is to translate from Japanese to English, so anything else is better left as it is because that's how it's for the Japanese as well. It would be kind of superfluous to fix the Portuguese. Maybe a Portuguese group would fix it, hard to say, as it would certainly be more annoying for them.

What will the MC do to treat the wounds that surpasses the world's magic? Simple.

Pour soy sauce on it.

😌
