I looked at the raws, tanned wolf girl gets beaten by the lord for doing wrong, and the MC only comforts her and keeps acting polite to the lord. Personally if they are going to put him into a hero role he should've done something to the noble in retaliation. But i can't read the raws so maybe he did.

To be honest I mostly picked this up because I like the design of wolf girl and it isn't horrible, but yeah it isn't all that great so sudden tragedy might make me lose the rest of my interest.

This chapter shows one of the problems this manga has IMO. It switches way too fast between being 'light-hearted and fun' and serious. If we also consider the unreleased/untranslated chapters,

they finish the Hydra off, we get to see Nora's funeral (well, more like a pile of bones treated like garbage in the corner of the cemetery, MC burying her remains, a noble getting isekai-noble-y thrashing white haired wolf girl around, MC talking to said noble, him caring for wolf girl (all in all 2-3 chapters ) and THEN we are back to the beginning of the manga. Him just being a veterinarian and doing stuff with fantasy creatures. As if the Hydra incident never happened and Nora never existed.
