I like how Tateo being a big unit himself is beneficial here since he can work at the colder temperatures without it affecting him as much as the other three skinny twigs. Clever move from TT.

And as thus he is aiming to get a better treathment out of the drug dealer

But that can only work if the drug dealer actually cares about selling a premium product, he can perfectly kill Tateo and just keep selling the inferior version

Tateo's descent to becoming a villain was so fast. But it seems he accepted it, and now he's willing to use his newfound power to really intimidate people.

I don't know if he really needed all that stuff to make the perfect drug, but whatever he did, he was able to at least convince Kanoko that he wasn't lying. But what deal does she want to make?

Well, he did reach out to Tateo for a reason, so I doubt he would kill the golden goose just for the sake of it. Also, the people who have used the real deal don't want a second rate product... hence he is getting a lot of complaints. Not to mention, the original creator can make many more variations, so there's a potential for expanding the business in the future.

But yeah, Tateo got himself into a sticky situation without knowing much about the people he's dealing with. One could argue that it's because he doesn't fear for his life anymore, but it was risky nonetheless.
